HIGHLAND HAY®

Highland Hay® registered and exclusive brand is an exceptional hay harvested in the meadows of French mountains, mowed and dried naturally in accordance with ancient traditions. Hay of natural meadows at altitude, between 1100 and 1500 m, in areas of excellence recognized for the quality of soils. These terroirs offer a preserved environment for high-quality and environmentally friendly Hay. Hay particularly suitable for horses.

Highland Hay® with its many aromatic and medicinal plants naturally present in its flora that contribute to its nutritional richness and its particular smell, is a feed particularly suitable for horses:

– Nutritional diversity and high digestibility—the combination of fine grasses, legumes and mountain plants provides a varied mix, rich in quality fiber, natural trace elements and aromas, beneficial for the intestinal transit of horses and their overall digestive health.

– Appetence & well-being—the presence of aromatic plants (such as ‘cistre’) makes it a more fragrant and palatable hay, encouraging food intake.

– High Quality — hay traditionally harvested at high altitudes, in natural meadows without any chemical fertilizer, is a healthy hay, closer to what the animal could consume in the wild, which promotes the robustness, strength and general well-being of the horse.

– Respect for the environment & naturalness—A hay of meadows without any chemical input that contributes to the preservation of the richness of the landscapes. Mountain meadows are carbon sinks and true reservoirs of biodiversity thanks to natural and moderate fertilization.

– Traceability and authenticity — Hay from meadows grazed by farms in the AOP Fin Gras du Mézenc; whose terroir and expertise are guarantors of a “high-end” hay, coming from an identified territory and tradition, for a guarantee of the quality and origin of the fodder in the feed of your horses.
